Arya tea estate is on the border of Darjeeling is globally famous for its tea. The tea estate evolved with a group of Buddhist monks deciding to plant tea seeds the location way back in early 19th century. The estate is at an altitude of 1500 meters above sea level and is spread over a region of 125 hectares. Its organic produce includes tea blends like Pearl (White tea), Diamond (Chunky tips), Ruby (Black tea), Emerald (Green tea) and Topaz (Oolong). Not just for the vast diversity of tea the land grows, but Arya is also identified for its farming methods and tea processing methods. The tea estate has a 2 storied resort available for stay with glass walls in the lounge providing view of the Kanchenjunga range. The resort also has a lawn for tourists to enjoy tea from the estate along with the view of the 300 acres of the tea estate.
